I often say I’d like to runaway. Thus my obvious connection to this upbeat song about said action. Give it a listen…

So I’m fortunate enough to be interning at EMI Music… that being said, I actually first heard this song today blasting out of the big boss’ office this morning. Coldplay has always been a fave of mine, but this tune here reminds me of their older stuff. So I particularly like it a lot. Give it a listen. Album comes out October 24, 2011.
Coldplay
“Paradise”
Mylo Xyloto (2011)
Air
“Playground Love”
Virgin Suicides Soundtrack (2000)
I always revisit this soundtrack. Air is just excellent. This one is a good sunday morning lay around with your loved one kind of tune. Try it, and you’ll see I’m right.
Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi
Vocals by Jack White
“Two Against One”
Rome (2011)
This entire album is fantastic. 70s feel. Sounds like a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack. You’d be kinda stupid not to like it. I’d encourage you to get a hold of it…
I really don’t know why I like this song. Oddly enough, I can tell you where I first heard it. It was in an episode of Daria. Hello blast from the past.
Beastie Boys
“Body Movin” (Fat Boy Slim Mix)
Intergalactic
Comforting to know the 80’s is very much still here.
We Are Scientists
“Lethal Enforcer”
Brain Trust Mastery (2008)
I love old-school punk like this. Oh so enjoyable.
The Dead Milkmen
“Dean’s Dream”
Big Lizard in My Backyard (1985)
Fleet Foxes
“He Doesn’t Know Why”
I feel like I’m floating in another time period. And the band singing to cattle? That’s the kind of show I want to go to.

Unrelated music post. But oh so good.
